Doctors Office

Took the whole day off of work… and then spent the whole day in the Dr. office. Nobody is a sick, just yearly check up time. Froggy and Miss Bee both in one day complete with weighing in, height, blood presser, and eye tests…

NOW you try and give an eye test to a three year old, they have the little pictures of an umbrella, an apple, and a house, poor Ms Bee she got a huge case of the shyness and couldn’t come up with any of the names. Of course our ABC book at home is A to Z by Sandra Boynton and I believe for U they have ukulele or something like that for ‘U’ not an umbrella so she was a little confused. I bet if they had pictures of Disney Princesses up on the wall she would have had no problems what so ever identifying the images.

Now Miss Bee had fun she was given a book and talked with the Dr who informed me that she is doing great even if she is a little of the small side of things, she is still growing and she is smart as a whip.

Froggy was very happy to find out that he didn’t have to have any shots and that he didn’t have to undress for the Dr. (he hates that part the most) and he doesn’t have to go to the eye Dr. because he has good vision. He also found out how to deal with the acne that has started…

They ask all the same questions do you have any concerns? Of course I have concerns… am I giving them enough attention? Are they well adjusted kids? Do I need to worry about the sullen teenager act? And how soon will it go away? Good grief am I a good enough parent? Am I making the right choices for my kids? DO I have any concerns? I smile and shake my head and say no not really…
